I just saw a mocumentary on Netflix called Mascots. Funny, but also kinda sad. It's all in good fun. Check it out.

I alway wanted to be Goofy when I was young. Some would say I did not need to put on a big dog costume to be Goofy?

I have 32+ year of experience making animal mascots.... (Carol Flemming Costume Design Studio ) (now I'm working Set Construction, but that's a different story)
It's kinda interesting that during that time, I've seen other people get "Drafted" to wear them and just walk around hoping to look cool/nice (whatever).... The Best was a show in Vegas where one of the draftees remarked "I shaved my legs for this..." But the character had no "life"....
I've been drafted to wear them, and 1.) yes they are hot... try dancing in a sleeping bag 2.) the view is very limited, so you have to pay attention to what (kids) are around you (so you don't step on them....) 3.) they sometimes frighten children, so you have to move slow so as not to scare them more.....
But if you get into the character (grumpy/playful/shy ) of the mascot, it can be a lot of fun.
