As a children's entertainer, I have a silly/whimsical personality when I'm on stage. The kid's love our personalities, but how to adults react to them? Do clients treat us differently because of our performing personality? Sadly, some do.

The key is that when your talking with the client, parent or adult, you want to change your personality to a more professional one. Something you can do is to physically show the client the difference from your performing personality and your professional self.

During my shows I use a high pitch voice. When I'm approaching my client I have a good posture, firm hand shake and I use my normal voice with a smile.

What other things do you think could be done to assist with this issue?
